Our Social Enterprise

The Bridging Collective is the social enterprise arm of our services, created to provide meaningful opportunities for learning, creativity, and skill-building through hands-on, design-focused activities. Our mission is to empower everyone involved through purposeful work, mentoring, and a strong sense of community connection.

Based at our welcoming Studio Hub in Nerang, we currently run two social enterprises:

Container Collection Program
We partner with supportive local cafés and individuals who host our colourful collection bins in their homes and businesses. Through the Containers for Change scheme, participants collect and sort eligible containers, process them at the depot, and record profits using a simple ledger system. This enterprise offers rich opportunities for community engagement, teamwork, and learning practical skills such as money handling and basic bookkeeping.

Handmade Wooden Toy Program
Using locally sourced reclaimed timber wherever possible, we’ve developed a safe, simplified production process that allows participants to create beautiful handmade toys without risk of injury. We currently produce two items: the simple Push Car for children under three, and the classic Hobby Horse for children over three. From gluing and sanding to assembling and finishing, participants experience the joy and camaraderie of creating products from start to finish.
